Wilderness Morning, Summer Solstice © MP3
Bullfrogs and birds - the sun is barely peeking over the hills across the lake on the longest day of the year. Near the shore, about 15 feet above lake level in a tall pine forest, thick layers of pine needles carpet the granite rocks. A slate-coloured junco calls from nearby, while an ovenbird is heard from a medium distance, and further away, the higher pitched black and white warbler is singing less frequently. All repeat their territorial songs while bullfrogs call from the lake. Towards the end, a robin may be heard in the distance. Despite its short length, Wilderness Morning, Summer Solstice plays very well looped because all the participants have their own individual constant tempo and repertoire. Wilderness Morning, Summer Solstice © is a natural soundscape composed of edited digital stereo quasi-binaural field recordings. This recording technique produces a 3 dimensional audio image when listening with headphones. Encoded at a bitrate of 192 kps for quality listening.
