It was one of those mornings that mist and wisps of fog twist, and rise in the valleys, lingering like the last spirits of the night, relunctant to admit that dawn is coming. It was in this morning twilight at the Minden Wild Water Preserve that I recorded White Water River. The recording location was just down river from Whitehorse Falls, the rumble of which, can be heard to the left. The microphones stood in the water of a small bay where the overflow from the rapids eddy around and light waves lap the shore. You can hear the rushing water from the main current, moving against rocks, the splash of spray, and volumes of water flowing over and around rocks and boulders. Splash and spray is everywhere, throwing more milky mist into the air. A natural source of "pink noise". No birds or animal sounds.

White Water River © features a long 10 second fade-in/out at the beginning and the end, so there are no sudden disturbing changes in sound volume when played looped.
