This soundscape was made for those who want their thunder and they WANT IT NOW! (Crash! Bang! Boom!) Thunderstorm is jammed full of deep booms of thunder, loud "sky crackles", and close lightning strikes. Plummeting rain is also heard.

It is interesting to note that it was an afterthought when a larger soundscape (over 18 minutes) "Thunderstorm in the Woods" was being created. Both Thunderstorm, and Thunderstorm in the Woods were featured on the "Sonic Woods" CD. Edited and mixed analogue field recordings, encoded at 256 kps.
