Forest Birds in Summer © MP3
"Forest Birds in Summer" © was recorded in a secluded highland wilderness composed mostly of sugar maples, birches, beech, ash, and red oak. Nearby is a stand of old evergreens. Dewdrops slip from leaves, and drift to the dry forest floor. Birdcalls echo, creating a constantly shimmering rainbow of sound from the forest canopy above. A loon calls in the background. Peaceful, soothing, and calming, this CD length recording will help in relaxation.
It was an extremely quiet morning with not the slightest whisper. The microphones recorded my footsteps as I walked away up and down the rocky ridges through the leaves for 3.5 minutes. I edited that out of course, but there is a small background hiss that I couldn't eliminate.
Forest Birds in Summer © features a long 10 second fade-in/out at the beginning and the end, so there are no sudden disturbing changes in sound volume when played looped. Forest Birds in Summer © is a natural soundscape composed of edited and mixed digital stereo quasi-binaural field recordings. This recording technique produces a 3 dimensional audio image when listening with headphones. Encoded at a bitrate of 192 kps for quality listening.
