A Brook overflows with fresh spring meltwater creating a seasonal 15 ft (3 metre) wide waterfall. This is an amazingly full-bodied sound from a 3 foot drop (1 metre) waterfall. The medium flow and small drop produce a constant unchanging sound without the chugging or surging sound volumes that are characteristic of larger waterfalls. Winter snow covers the ground, which dampens sound reflections and echoes. This is a perfect sound for masking a variety of distracting noises, and it is ideal for sleeping, water meditation, or releasing stress. The bass and treble can easily be adjusted during playback to suit one's taste. The microphones were placed close to the front of the falls, at an equal distance from the ends(within 15 feet or 5 meters) which enabled the recording to include the bass elements of the waterfalls and a perfect stereo image. The result is a natural source of white noise or full spectrum noise. Brook Waterfalls © is perfect for relaxation and meditation. There are no birds or music. The recording features a long fade-in at the beginning and a slow fade-out at the end, so there are no sudden disturbing changes in sound volume when played looped. Brook Waterfalls © is a natural soundscape composed of edited digital stereo quasi-binaural field recordings. This recording technique produces a 3 dimensional audio image when listening with headphones. The preview and song are encoded at 192 kps bit rate for better listening quality.
